Does anyone else hear the similarities between Rue’s Whistle and the Love Theme used in Franco Zeffirelli’s Romeo & Juliet?

The first four notes form the violin and the four notes of Rue’s whistle sound nearly identical!

Every time I hear the whistle, my brain carries on into the Love Theme.

If you aren’t familiar with one, the other or both, go look them up and give them a listen.

I’m curious to know if anyone else hears it.
