The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty stemmed from research that exposed that only 2% of women world wide considered themselves beautiful. Apparently, the campaign was denied twice by the Dove executives. To prove their point, the marketers developing the campaign secretly interviewed the daughters of those executives and presented it to them in a video much like this one. The executives acquiesced and the campaign was launched in 2004.(Via dihard)
