Tiger Woods Out For 2008 - Not Out Completely I Hope
From Tiger Wood’s site:
Just days after winning the 2008 U.S. Open in a dramatic sudden-death playoff, Tiger Woods announced that he will be forced to undergo reconstructive Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery on his left knee and will miss the remainder of the PGA TOUR season.
Note they said “PGA TOUR season”. I’m going to speculate he will appear in his fund raising games, guest appearances overseas, and most importantly, The Ryder Cup.
It’ll be a travesty if he skips The Ryder Cup. Almost unpatriotic. Considering the cup is not until September, it should give him plenty of time to rest (about 3 months). Ryder Cup format is also not as demanding as regular PGA tournaments, so for someone with Tiger’s strength and stamina, it shouldn’t be much of a problem for him.
